Another important way for YouTube to boost your website - Online Video Marketing Services

With YouTube you have another way to help improve the ranking of your site, and this is how it works:

YouTube is run by Google. It is obvious that the Google spiders tend to be hovering a lot around their site as well as other sites carrying their videos. If you include a YouTube Video on your site, the result is that you are going to be more easily indexed by Google. That means you will be noticed.

Especially when a site is new, it is pretty well invisible to Google at first. Sometimes for a long time. Using YouTube on your site helps to bring it to Google's attention.

In addition there is a belief that quality websites have videos, as opposed to spammy websites, which do not! How true this is I don't know, but definitely Google hates spam websites!

It is very easy to load a YouTube video onto your site. First upload your special video onto YouTube, and then download it again onto your site.

This is how you do it:

  • Go to YouTube and look for the video you want (Your own or any other relevant video).
  • To imbed your video, click imbed, below the video, choose the size to suit your page.
  • Click the HTML code and copy it, now go back to your website post or page.
  • Click on "HTML" view, and paste the code.
  • Select where you want to place the video on your page.
  • Now you can preview it, and make sure everything looks good. There you have it!

What About Dailymotion?

This is another video sharing service website situated in Paris, France. It is currently believed that Dailymotion is the second largest video site in the world after YouTube.

At the end of last year nearly 100 million unique visitors visited the site each month. So it can be a highly significant site especially if your business is targeting French or Continental European people.

Website Video Optimisation and Video Marketing Services in Sydney

This is all about a powerful tool to help your website rank higher and make a good position on the first page of Google.

If you make a really good commercial video and upload it onto YouTube or Dailymotion there are several ways that it can benefit your site.

Everyone who builds a website has one objective in common: To be noticed and to attract traffic. The only realistic way to do this is to get your site into a top position on the first page of Google in the relevant search.

This is probably the prime reason for SEO experts' existence. There is a lot to know, a lot of tricks to learn, and a lot of tweaking to do to get a site there.

While actual website ranking plays a part too, the new website owner needs to concentrate on position first. High ranking tends to come later, when the website is trusted by Google as an authority site.

To get the good position on Google, the SEO expert tends to spend a lot of time on backlinking. This is a way of creating links within the top ranking websites, blogs, forums, comments, etc, back to your website. The more quality backlinks you have, usually the quicker and easier it is to get to the first page, and start building rankings yourself.

What is Web Video Optimisation and Video Marketing?

Among the many techniques used to provide good, varied backlinks to your site is to make use of YouTube.

Basically two types of optimisation can be done with website video marketing in sydney in order to be on top of things worldwide.

Uploading good quality, watchable videos of your products has the double advantage that you promote your product and website themselves by exposing them to potential clients who happen to watch the video, and also you create very useful backlinks back to your site, which is the type of SEO that you want.

How does it work?

YouTube is the 2nd biggest search engine on the Internet with more than 1.6 billion searches per month. It is second only to Google. Not only do people visit YouTube itself and browse through videos that interest them, many other sites, such as Facebook, are filled with videos that people have pasted to show their friends. So, the estimate of 1.6 billion people actually watching YouTube videos each month is probably conservative. How can you afford to miss this audience?

YouTube Video Optimisation and Marketing - How do We do this?

Once you have had your video production prepared for video optimisation from Sydney, and you are satisfied with it, you need to upload it on to YouTube.

This is how you do it:

  • The video should not be more than 10 minutes in length.
  • It should not more than 1 gigabyte in size.
  • It must be in an acceptable movie format.
  • Log into your YouTube account (or open an account by following the prompts).
  • Click on the upload button on the top right hand side.
  • Fill in the title.
  • Add the description (This is very important as it should contain the sort of search words or phrases people are likely to use to find it).
  • Select your video category from the drop down menu.
  • Fill in the tags: These are your main keywords (anchor text). These are the keywords that link to your website.
  • Select whether you want your video public or private. (This is under 'Broadcast options')
• Sharing options: select comments, comment votings, video responses, ratings, embedding, syndication. This is very important as multiple comments tend to draw the attention of Google. You can place your own comments there too, with backlinks to your site.
  • Save your settings
  • You can use the autoshare options, twitter, facebook, etc. (This is another way to give your site backlinks).
  • Click on 'browse' to select the video file you would like to upload from your computer.
  • Click on 'video upload' and the thing is done.

The best place to put your backlinks is believed to be in the 'video description text' section, within the very first line of text.

Another place is in the 'statistics and data' section. Just click on the little arrow to the left of the title and you will see 'links'. This gives you a list of everyone who has imbedded this video on their site. (Ideally you should be first to imbed your video.) This gives you a second link.

Even though it is believed that YouTube links are 'nofollow', people still seem to benefit from links. As long as the video is related to your business and if it is popular, you'll get a good link regardless.
